The Power of Positive Words Blog Series: Blog 14

Every Sunday evening, I pick one card from my printable affirmation set and place it on my dressing table, where I can easily see it. Just one card. It’s my quiet ritual—a soft way to enter the new week.

Last week, the card said: “I trust the timing of my life.”

I didn’t know how much I needed those words until I saw them. That week, when my plans shifted, I didn’t spiral. I remembered the card. I breathed. I softened.

This tiny practice can change the way your week unfolds. Try it:

  1. Either make your own or purchase a set of printable affirmation cards. Print them and keep them in a jar, box or in a drawer.
  2. Choose one each week—Sunday night, Monday morning, or whenever feels right.
  3. Display it somewhere visible—a mirror, your desk, your dashboard.
  4. Let it guide you. Even if you forget to look at it every day, the intention remains.

One card. One moment of stillness. One gentle reminder that you are not alone in this busy, beautiful world.
